Cloisonne Dragonfies in Orange
Hello Friends~
Today's card features a Strong Stamps image; the Cloisonne Dragonfly and the small dragonfly from the Mini Cloisonne Wings set.
This was a fun card to make. The background is an orange flocked design on a kraft-colored base (background paper--a gift from a friend). I wanted to add a bit of interest without detracting from the dragonflies, so I stitched some copper cord with my Janome Sew Mini sewing machine in a zig-zag pattern around the edges. The copper cording was simply wound around the card vertically and anchored on the back with scotch tape.
The dragonflies are painted with Distress Inks. I added some colored gems to the dragonflies. Why? Because they're girls....and we girls love BLING!
Thanks for stopping by today!

Awesome - love those vivid colors and the techniques you used.
ReplyDeleteKathie, your dragonfly card is gorgeous! I love how you used the metalic string to wrap around the card vertically. Also love how parts of the dragonfly are "tucked" in the cord in spots! Thanks for the photo of the inside so we get another view of the front AND see how you added the dragonfly to the inside! WAY COOL!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card - love the colours
